perfect summer evening

after quite the day yesterday, we really tried to rest and recover today. went for 2 walks (it's SO nice to be able to do that again!!!) we all took naps. played a few games. it just seemed like a sweet day. we were all 5 almost always in the same room...and not much arguing! i love days like this!

dinner was grilled chicken, corn from the farm and watermelon


i made salsa with some tomatoes from the farm (rebekah loves real salsa!)

after dinner and our candle, we walked to the ice cream store. we got the kids ice cream to thank them for their excellent behavior yesterday. for their patience and good attitudes. it's nice when there is cause for some positive reinforcement!

and, i just have to say. i love this man (Pat that is, not Joshua.)

living life alongside him is the best.

i loved our car time yesterday - talking about all kinds of things.

1 more week of summer!!!
