since my life exists in 3 hour blocks right now (from BEGINNING of feeding to beginning of feeding...so that's 2 1/2 hours AT BEST of time to DO something!) we had to organize our day around me getting Sawyer's longest block (he sleeps the longest in the afternoon) to take Joshua on our date. we left right after lunch.
we went putt-putt golfing.
it was so fun.
if i lived life with just joshua, my life would be very calm and sweet and quiet. i think we both would have been fine just riding in silence in the car - but i tried to talk to him and get into his little head.
his favorite color is blue...and red...and orange. "is that ok, mom?"
his best friend is Rebekah.
on the way i asked him if he wanted me to tell him where we were going or just see when we get there. he said, "I want to just wait and see when we get there. That way it will be special."
this is him checking out the next hole...
excited about getting it in!
as we were driving away, he said, "We should go back there sometime with Daddy and Bailey and Rebekah. They would like it." This boy is the sweetest thing, isn't he? thinking about others??
and i gave him the choice to either get a milkshake from ChickFilA (which i REALLY wanted) or a Slurpee from 7-11. he chose a Slurpee. as we got out of the car at 7-11, i said, "Let's go get our Slurpee's." and i heard him, kind of under his breath, say, "Just you and me."
oh, my heart. (i love how you say that, cassie.)

Oh Courtney, what a very special little guy you have in Joshua! It brought tears to my eyes reading about your special date with him. Isn't it awesome how at such a young age he has already developed the gift of thinking of others? Continue to cultivate that special gift in him. He is a sweetie!
