this little guy is 1 month old today! isn't he so cute??
well, we all know how I am today (aren't you sick of hearing about me??) but i thought i'd summarize sweet Sawyer at 1 month old:
-he eats every 3 hours during the day
-he wakes up twice a night (meaning twice between 10 pm and 7 am - people have different definitions of "night")
-he is a quick eater - only takes about 10 minutes to nurse
-he sucks his index finger sometimes
-he doesn't love to be held horizontally, he'd prefer to be held vertically
-he sleeps on his stomach
-his big toes are always pointed up
-he is very patient with his 3 siblings touching him, pulling him, holding him
-he is happy for about 15 minutes after he's done eating - and then he's only happy if he's being held...
-he takes a pacifier, but can't keep it in, so we have to hold it in. but at least it calms him down.
-i love how bailey says his name - i have videotaped it - she sounds very southern
-he doesn't love the car seat (which is great for being in the car for 12 hours tomorrow, huh??)
-i can hardly remember our family without him!

I love the photo of everyone's hands on Sawyer. The other night at dinner we were talking about you guys and Clay said to Chris, "It's not Sah-yer Daddy, it's Soy-yer." Too funny! I guess Bailey would agree more with Chris.
He is soo cute. Sorry to hear about the death in the family. I am just catching up with you this morning, and it looks like it has been a rough week. It will pass. I know that sounds trite, but it will pass. I am bringing you dinner on Monday, and even though you aren't eating junk I will make you something extra special and chocolatey! Oh and a diet coke must be involved. Have a safe trip!
