friday afternoon the kids and i walked to the grocery store to get a couple things. we came upon a lemonade stand...SO CUTE! we, of course, stopped and got some!
on the way home, some neighbors were having a hot dog roast in their driveway, using one of those fire pits. we stopped and hung out for about an hour. but i already had our meat defrosted for TACOS! so we didn't stay and roast hot dogs. we came home, got dinner ready, and ate in our porch for the first time this year! yea! and the kids are eating like horses lately - making up for not eating for a week (which is a very effective way to save on groceries by the way). then, once we got the kids in bed, our next door neighbors, the Luhrings , came over and we had some of the YUMMY ice cream cake from my birthday and just hung out. they have an adorable 3 month old little boy (that was sleeping safely in his bed - we were watching him on the video monitor they brought over!) we went to bed tired and happy and thankful to be healthy (sorry, you're going to have to hear that over and over for awhile.)
friday night, rebekah slept in curlers for the first time...

and last night (Sat), Pat and I went out on a date! thank you to Pat's parents for watching the kids! we just went out to dinner and SO enjoyed our time together to talk and walk around - the weather was GORGEOUS! very thankful for this man that loves me so very well.
we've had a low-key day...had a little "family discussion" about how things need to get back to normal - behavior-wise around here...all took naps. this evening my parents are coming over to celebrate our birthdays (Pat's is in a couple weeks).

LOVE the picture of you and Pat and Baby #4!!!! Rebekah's hair looks ADORABLE - the curlers did great!!!! Sure does make her look grown up. SO thankful you've had a good, healthy, fresh-air filled weekend!!!
We had so much fun hanging out and Love that you are right next door! I meant to come over on Saturday to see how Rebekah's hair turned out. I am so glad you posted a picture. Rebekah, you are beautiful! I love your straight hair too, but curls look great on you! Speaking of beautiful...Courtney you always look terrific, but your baby looks great on You!!! :)
