first of all, i "retired" from running with my running group - until i'm done with this pregnancy. Friday was my last day running with them. it's sad. but also good. i'm just too slow. and too tired. i need to take things one day at a time from now on.
so, that being said, i DID get up and run this morning. by myself. 4.25 miles. i won't tell you how long it took me. but my slow pace felt good.
i decided NOT to go to the gym and swim (our normal monday routine) because my kids and my house needed that 1 1/2 hours this morning. all the sheets changed...again. bathrooms cleaned. TV is not allowed until "we" can be kind and obey (obey = 1)obeying IMMEDIATELY; 2) obeying GLADLY; 3) and obeying 100%). laundry going. a few phone calls made. joshua and bailey have played together NICELY for most of the time! what a blessing! we've done silly things like dressing all Bailey's babies, making letters out of our pretzel snack. just taking the time to do that little stuff feels good.
off to keep working...on cleaning and our attitudes!

Courtney, I'm proud of you for listening to your body and knowing when to stop running with your group. I UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS HARD TO DO THAT! In just a few months you'll be back to running faster and it will all be easier! Then you can let me know when we can run a race together!
Sounds like the best kind of Monday - getting everyone back with happy hearts, things back in order, etc. I'm sorry to hear about your latest "retirement", but it's really like a "sabbatical" - it's NOT forever. I'm proud of you for not pushing it harder and longer than you really should have. Focus on the fact that you are 6 months pregnant and still running 4 miles!! No matter what the speed - that's awesome!!!!
I know you didn't intend this but I got some great ideas from that post!
