i can't find one anywhere!! do i have to take something apart?? i took the ice maker out and can't find any filter...am i an idiot or what? maybe i can find the book that came with the refridgerator.
you are not an idiot! :) you probably need to find the owners manual or look it up online. my fridge is a kenmore and the filter is on the bottom grill underneath the freezer. some are inside the fridge or the freezer near the top. you also need to know what kind of filter to buy to replace the one you have so probably finding the owners manual or looking online is your best bet. i will worn you, the filters aren't cheap. for our fridge they are almost $50. does your fridge have some sort of a light or sensor or something to tell you when it has gone bad (probably not or you would have noticed that by now huh? :) ) ours is buy the ice/water dispenser. the light tells us when to replace it but we let it go a bit longer until the water tastes bad because we are cheap skates and hate to spend $50 on these filters. good luck and hope that this fixes the problem. sorry for such a long comment!
