i have a dear friend that i met when we moved in this neighborhood. our kids are the same ages, she's a wonderful person. we hang out a lot in her court, sitting in chairs and watching the kids play on bikes, etc. anyways, in the last 6 months, she has LITERALLY worked her tail off and lost quite a bit of weight. i'm so impressed with all her hard work! and she's started running again (she used to...) so, anyways, she wants to run the Turkey Trot 10K on Thanksgiving and wanted to run for an hour together....the longest she'd gone so far was 50 minutes and she was hoping having someone else to run with would help. we were going to run at 7:30 this morning.
well, my "normal" running group was running at 7:00 so i met them and ran with them for 30 minutes, and then met my other friend! a total of 8 1/2 miles in 1 1/2 hours. not bad, not bad. and i'm so proud of my friend - her determination and self-control is inspiring!
then i came home to an amazing breakfast that was hot and waiting...chocolate chip pancakes, eggs, bacon and fruit! pretty impressive for my wonderful husband, huh??
we spent the last 2 hours outside...mowing, cutting bushes back for the winter, etc.
now we're inside. going to warm up, eat lunch and have a relaxing afternoon inside before we head to pat's parents tonight to celebrate Thanksgiving with them.
