simple pleasures
does it get any better than this? an ice cream cone at papa's birthday dinner last night. yum!
needed 3 things at the grocery store. that's all i needed to get through the next 2 days! since we're leaving on sat - i don't have to do my normal "friday grocery shopping excursion" tomorrow. pretty excited about that. anyways, went to the "expensive" grocery store - it's the closest and the funnest for the kids and i had 20 minutes to get there, shop and be home before friends were coming over. they have these little carts that the kids can push. we were quite a scene! i have to say it felt SO BIZARRE to walk through the grocery store with just my purse on my shoulder! no one in my arms, not pushing a cart....they loved it! :-) by the way, bailey did a much better job "driving" hers than joshua. that kid is a walking disaster!
lots of laundry and lists around here...getting ready to pack for my kids to be at grandma and papa's for 5 days, and for pat and i to be in Charleston! yea!

I love that you apparently don't go anywhere without your camera! Whatever will you do when your kids are older and don't think it's cool to have their picture taken at the grocery store?? ;)
Have a wonderful trip with just Pat!!
Too funny! We had the same experience about a week ago at our "expensive" grocery store that I never usually go to. However, mine was far more eventful...paige ran her cart into one of those cardboard displays that had bags of chips in them and knocked it over! Of course the three of us (mostly holly and i)were trying to pick them up as paige is standing there saying "uh-oh, uh-oh, mess, mess" at the top of her lungs. Meanwhile holly decided to stop helping me pick up the bags to give paige a "lesson" on how she should drive her cart and be more careful! I was trying to pick them up as fast as i could before we were "noticed." However, a very nice man man who worked there said that it happened all of the time and he would finish picking them up. i think that maybe he just wanted us out of the store quickly before we did more damage! I too had my camera and took a picture at the beginning of the trip. I should have taken one of the mess but i was too embarrased to stop and whip out my camera! :) Enjoy your trip with pat!
yes, Michelle, my camera is permanently in my purse at all times.
kim, that's hilarious! i'm thankful that our trip wasn't that eventful...i don't think i could have handled it today!
Could it be Harris Teeter? We discovered those little carts about a week after I had Callie - we were running in to get 1 thing...again, we never go there because it's so $$$$, but the carts were a huge hit! Sometimes it is worth it!
i totally love it - too cute! :)
By the way - I guess Joshua is okay eating ice cream now? When I was up there last, you had said that was the one thing that he still had senstivity because of this teeth. So this is great news!!
