vacation day...

our weekends are so busy, that pat never has time to get stuff done around the yard. so he took last friday as a vacation day and worked ALL day. he transformed our yard from "winter"...

to "summer!"
flowers planted in the yard is always my mother's day gift - they make me so happy!

i did my own usual grocery shopping and getting ready for the weekend.

made chocolate chip cookies AND a pound cake that afternoon. sometimes you just gotta, you know???

sawyer brought this home...i don't think many kindergartners have their butterflies fly to africa...AND spell it correctly! ;-)

we passed EVERY single cookie out to neighbors. good for our hearts AND bodies!
