remember the "keep moving" poster?
i really didn't think we'd have a hard time reaching our goals. but with swim team the first 2/3 of the summer, we just didn't have a ton of extra time to be going on walks/bike rides. up until last weekend, we had only colored in 20 or so miles!
the kids were DETERMINED to get to 50 by the end of this week. so we've been going on some long-ish bike rides...5 and 6 miles.
i came up with an 8 mile plan today. ran it by them. and they were on board. it was so fun! and right up my alley :-)
after rest time, we did our sweet teaching time. i can't wait to share about this. once i get more than 3 minutes to write a post! one of the sweetest parts of our days this summer.
then we rode our bikes 4 miles to the gym we go to. rebekah and joshua took off on a 3 mile run (it's one of their chores), i signed the younger 4 into the kids club, and i ran 2 FAST (for me) miles. i run plenty of miles, but i need to do more speedwork. it's hard to fit it in!
we all met back up and swam at the pool AT the gym for 1 1/2 hours. we never swim there. so it was a big treat!
then we rode our bikes home (4 more miles!) everyone was still smiling at the end!
took baths/showers. dinner was in the crockpot. served it up, cleaned it up, and put them all to bed.
(pat's home late tonight. i chose to make it FUN instead of sad!)
i think we will ALL sleep good! ;-)
