insanity!

oh my word!
today was INSANE. once i explain why, you'll understand why i'm not here updating anything!

let me break it down for you.

ran 6 miles.
couple hours of breakfast, cleaning up the kitchen, dealing with some discipline issues, and took a shower.
went to 3 stores. none of which were "quick" errands. first one was FAR away...and there was an accident on the way. 2nd one was buying and getting a Bible engraved. the ladies working in that store are so sweet, and nice, but i just don't have time to answer all their sweet, nice questions!

home for lunch. made a cake from scratch while they ate (that i have to take to the kids school tomorrow).

took joshua to the orthodontist to get his braces adjusted (and was able to leave the rest of the kids at home - thanks to rebekah being the BEST!)

it was a sweet 45 minutes with him!

home and put the 3 little boys down for naps. i had 25 minutes until i had to leave again. our landline has been having issues and, when rebekah told me she couldn't call me while i was gone, i couldn't handle it anymore (mostly it doesn't matter because i have a cell phone - but she doesn't and i want her to be able to reach me!) so i called the phone company and went through all the MESS that you have to go through when you call a company! ugh! finally talked to a guy. he had me do all this stuff with the phones (unplugging them and stuff). didn't work. scheduled a guy to come out and look at it tomorrow.

left with NO time to spare to take bailey to get her retainer checked.

gosh that girl is SO fun! so so fun!

she got her retainer OFF! done. no more! she was ecstatic!

drove home, picked joshua back up and went to the elementary school to find out who their teachers were going to be. they were both disappointed...and then bailey was in tears. so sad! it will be good. i've always trusted that my kids will get the teachers they need - never one to request or anything - and it's always been good. but hard to work through for sure...

back home for about an hour. the phone company guy showed up when i had 8 minutes before i had to leave?!? a day early?? YET. he FIXED our phone! *we* had weed-whacked a wire outside or something. so glad it's fixed!!!

left again to take rebekah to her school to get her schedule and locker and bring all her school supplies and get her locker set up. she is one amazing girl. i just love being around her these days! and she's SUCH a blessing to me! so thoughtful and helpful.

i am definitely appreciating these days where they are all at home - not off with friends and such, yet rebekah and joshua are old enough and capable enough for me to run quick errands and they can stay home and play, etc. i know these are sweet days and i'm trying my best to appreciate them!! it's a sweet spot for sure!

home again. made dinner. ate dinner. left for joshua's first football practice. dropped him off and went to a bootcamp that i LOVE! it's at an awesome playground. it's SUPER hard. and the kids just play while we do the bootcamp! man, did i need that after today!

home and, thankfully, pat was home (it was 7:30 by this point). i handed them over to him, he did the devotion and put them to bed.

we spent the next 2 hours working on a project for rebekah's birthday...and now i'm going to crawl up to my bed :-)

SO much going on in my mind and heart. so many fun pictures to share from last week. but it's my last week of summer with these precious kids. and the girls both have birthdays this week (aug 31 and sept 5). so i'm not sure when i'll be totally updated on here...as soon as i can!
