hugging ali (wednesday)

it was sad to leave my family and the beach on wednesday morning, but i couldn't WAIT to stop on the way home and get my arms around ali! she was kind enough to let us stop by for a little while, even though they are adjusting bigtime to jet lag and just having a new daughter from china!

it was so good to see her and hug her and hear her heart. i could have stayed for HOURS, but we had to get our crew home!

 most of them fell asleep at some point...

 we got home right around dinner time. i had made my menu/grocery list in the car...for the next 10 days! when we pulled in the driveway, i didn't even step in the house. i got RIGHT in pat's car and went to walmart and Sams to get our groceries. by the time i got home (1 hour later! 40 minutes total of grocery shopping! i think it was a record!) the car was unpacked and everything was put away! it was beautiful! 

we sat down to a rotisserie chicken i had just bought and some carrots and ranch and called it dinner :-)
