i have a feeling that these days have only just begun.
we spent most of the weekend cheering on our kids. it is such a joy!
it started friday morning at the kids triathlon.
it rained all night, and was still raining at the race start, so it was decided that the kids wouldn't do the bike portion of the triathlon to keep them safe.
at the swim start:
rebekah diving in.
and running as soon as her feet hit the deck!
levi watching...
the younger kids lined up ready to swim. the older group, that rebekah was in, did a 150 m snake swim. the younger kids did a 50 m swim.
by the time i watched joshua get out of the pool and start his run, rebekah was already at the finish line!
the older kids helped the younger kids finish...
we went to lunch at chick fil a dressed like cows for a free lunch :-) and came home to rest.
that night was the last night of VBS for everyone but levi. did i even talk about that here? they went to a VBS at a church around the corner from us every night from 5:30-8:30 pm. my kids LOVED LOVED LOVED it! the VBS at our church is insane...like 550 kids. last year, my kids said it was "too crazy." and i agreed. i had a headache just from dropping them off and picking them up! so we just did this one this year. it was only 100 kids and just our speed.
friday night was the finale and we got to go watch them in a closing ceremony. the other AWESOME part was that it was a "sports" theme...which my boys loved! and the girls did "cheerleading" - which they will never do in "real" life and they loved that! :-)
we bought the music cd and they have been singing the songs ALL weekend...we bring the cd from the car to the house depending on where we are ;-)
saturday morning was 6 hours at a swim meet...
i do love it. and these 3 little boys are pretty patient. their day will come when we are cheering for them!!
