catching up!

man. when i was finding the pictures for the 1 day/$30 post, i realized i haven't blogged about a ton of stuff! i use instagram (courtneycassada) so much, that sometimes i think my brain thinks i've blogged about things, when i haven't.

a couple weeks ago, i was able to meet my friend leighann and her kids at a park. it was a million degrees and we hardly got to talk because our kids were being, well, kids. but it was sure nice to see her face and give her a hug!!!

one afternoon, after rest time, i told the kids we were headed to the pool, but clearly wasn't driving towards the pool once we got in the car. i wanted to surprise them with frozen yogurt before we went. but, i was seriously debating changing my mind BECAUSE OF THE SHEER AMOUNT OF QUESTIONS THEY WERE ASKING ME by the time we got there! "what are we doing?" "mom, did you know the pool is the other way?" "are there any library books in the car? do we have to return library books?" ahhh!!

joshua made up a game. it's War but with baseball cards. he pretty much knows the current standings of EVERY team. he's the only kid that could do this and everyone trusts him.

a hamburger with a jicama bun. yum.

i mentioned these 5 did tennis camp this week. we will definitely be repeating that in future summers. it was awesome.

pat took these 4 to a nationals game earlier this week. they had a GREAT time!

 i *had* to get a bigger veggie basket. because we eat so many veggies now! :-)

homemade bbq sauce. unlike the mayo - which i can live without, i will be repeating this! it was great!

friends of ours that live in russia came over for dinner this week. this past christmas, we had sent them some gifts, only to have the package reappear on OUR doorstep in march...unopened! so, it was TRULY christmas in july :-)

lots of busy days and late nights. the kids slept in friday morning :-)

a soft pretzel from sam's for lunch. not paleo. i didn't care. i ate the WHOLE thing. it was worth it!

i took JUST the girls to the pool during rest time on friday. it was the first of 3 such events like this. more on that to come...it was so fun!

levi was GLAD to have lincoln and sawyer back friday morning! just the older 3 did the last day of tennis camp...

saturday, pat took rebekah, joshua and bailey to a cool tennis event in DC. they got to play some matches, and meet and watch some pro's!

pat is so much better than me at playing WITH our kids. they are blessed.

last night the kids had their end of season swim team party. super fun. we love swim team!
