stitches for joshua

i was leaving on an 8 hour road trip with the kids early friday morning.
thursday evening's plan (after spending all day grocery shopping and cooking and packing for the trip and pat's weekend at home) was sawyer's tball game and then i was headed to Bible study.

a few minutes into sawyer's tball game, joshua comes over with blood pouring down his leg. he needed stitches. fell and landed on a rock and had a HUGE gash in his leg...i almost lost it when i looked at it, i saw things in there that i don't think you should see.

off he and i went to urgent care. pat coached the game and dealt with the rest of the kids.

 joshua was a rockstar.

2 hours and 4 stitches later. his biggest concern was that i wasn't going to make it to Bible study. sweet boy. i did miss being there, but i'll take one on one time with him any way i can get it!

because of his stitches, he gets out of the first week of swim team (he was excited about that!)

not how i was planning to spend the evening...but it's not about my plans, is it??
