only megan

it's 8 pm (or so) on a friday night. we are all snuggled up on the couch watching a movie. all 8 of us. the doorbell rings.

it could only be megan.

who lives 2 hours away.

she and i have been friends for 14 years. before kids. we had all our kids together. walked many miles. talked many hours. lots of mornings at each other's houses. she has loved me through a lot.

they moved 2 hours away TOO long ago...and are about to move to Australia to be missionaries! but our friendship has continued. not because either of us is great at keeping in touch. but because we just pick up where we left off.

it was such a blessing from Him for her to show up on my doorstep that evening. more than she'll ever know. it was like a gigantic hug straight from Him...right when i needed it.

oh, how i loved catching up and hugging you, dear friend!!
