american education week!

american education week is a BIG deal here in loudoun county.
basically, every grade has a day where there is a special activity for the parents to come in and DO with their child. plus you can eat lunch with them!

so. if you have 1 child in school, it's very fun and special.

if you have 5? it's insane!! because some of their activities conflicted with other lunch times, i told them i wasn't doing ANY lunches, but would do the activities.

monday was the veteran's day show for bailey and lincoln. this was lincoln's only activity. bailey had another! :-)
tuesday was the immigration feast at the middle school for rebekah. every student had to make and bring in a dish from their heritage. we brought chocolate chip scones. i'm pretty sure we have some english in us. and they like those, right?? ;-)

rebekah is the most amazing 7th grader. she LOVED having me and these 2 little boys come and walk her to her locker and then go to her class. i love her confidence. i wasn't like that at her age.
it was quite the spread!!

 just to stay sane, i squeezed in some really short and really random workouts!
 wednesday was bailey's turn. we got to play some REALLY fun thinking games together!

had a break for a day to go grocery shopping...

then today i got "2 for 1" at the school.

first joshua's "living museum" - this one is cool! all the kids sit around the edges of the classrooms, dressed up like famous people. and you can ask them questions.
 then to sawyer's class to make some crafts! i love their facial expressions when they cut :-)

 and little levi deserves a REWARD because he lived through all that this week, too! he is one amazing little guy!
 WE SURVIVED AEW! {i will celebrate somehow this evening...hmmm....}
