this was yesterday:
got up and ran.
dentist appt at 8 am (3 new cavities. i have the WORST teeth. my sweet hygenist is always like, "i'm so SORRY! i can tell you take such good care of your teeth!") i don't have TIME for cavities!
home and did school with sawyer...we made a goal MONTHS ago to get to lesson 50 ( of 100 lessons). and when we did, sawyer would get to pick anywhere he wanted to go to eat lunch.
YESTERDAY WE FINISHED LESSON 50!!
now that we made it to our goal, we are going to go back a bit and repeat. he is doing pretty well, but i think he could use the reinforcement.
we met some friends at a playground for an hour. and then went to lunch!!
FIVE GUYS! was his pick.
so.
we don't go out to lunch.
a "treat" would be to eat lunch at Sam's when i'm grocery shopping. a "really special treat" would be to eat lunch at chick fil a. but five guys for lunch?? unheard of! :-)
do you know who eat lunch at five guys? half of it was businessmen. the other half were construction workers. and then me with my 2 cuties. we were a little bit of a scene...ha!
he makes it look good, doesn't he?? i ate a cheeseburger. and it was SO good. i am so bad about eating meals. i eat little things here and there all day long...but never enough protein (and always too much sugar!) i think that last meal i had eaten was with chari on saturday night...my body was pretty excited about some PROTEIN!
home for naps and me running around my house like a chicken with my head cut off...folding laundry, making my grocery list.
getting the kids from school. homework. chores. dinner.
joshua to football practice.
rebekah to band concert.
she played the flute this year for the first time and has done so well!
my dad came...
and pat's parents...
after the concert, pat brought the kids home and put them to bed and i caught up with my dad for a little while...with this gorgeous sunset as our backdrop. sorry, but i have the best dad in the world :)
whew. what a day! i can only look one day at a time right now. don't ask me about next week...i haven't gotten that far :-)
we have a great (busy!) (gorgeous!) weekend ahead. i'm not feeling great...so i'm hoping i can get rid of that and enjoy every minute!
