things i'm loving lately

these are the "little" things that make me happy...that get me through the day when my heart is broken for Boston...or for one of my kids...or for my own ugly heart. these are superficial things that have NO eternal value. but they bring me fleeting moments of pleasure, and i'm thankful for them!

these books: beautiful disaster and walking disaster. i have been "into" YA fiction the last few months (i've read books with vampires, werewolves, aliens. CRAZY stuff for me. i'm not "into" that kind of stuff!) but these are "just" about humans - ha! i've just needed to escape my life for a few minutes at the end of the day...it helps me to be able to sleep. these are 2 of my favorite ones of the MANY i've read lately. i will NOT let my girls read them...for a LONG time. yes, they are for "young adult" but they lean towards an obsessive kind of love that i don't want my girls taking in until they can filter it through a wiser lens. but...if you are an adult and love a good love story, these are great. WARNING: the second one is the same story as the first one, but told from the boy's point of view. there is some, ahem, "choice" language...a lot of it. consider yourself warned.

i truly enjoyed them so much that i might read them again. i can't quite put my finger on WHY that is...but it is. let me know what you think if you read them!

this song. what an amazing combination of artists! tim mcgraw...taylor swift...keith urban. wow!
{side note: sawyer has a "thing" for taylor swift. he knows her voice whenever it comes on the radio and asks me to turn it up :-)}

these. um. SO good. see how they are DARK chocolate? yes, that makes all the difference! amazing!
{sugar and i are back in love. it's bad. and i just don't care. ??}
these 2. ok. they aren't superficial... :-) i love them so very much!
happy friday!!

You AND Rebekah should read "Out of My Mind" it would be a good read for her little group of bible study girls.

I think it should be required reading for middle school kids.
