my 36th birthday

i turned 36 on wednesday. it was a sweet day that began the evening before.
pat and i weren't going to see each other until 9:30 pm or so on wednesday, so on tuesday night, around 9 when we finally went to sit down together, he walked into the room with this! so fun! :-)

rebekah and bailey made and hung this for me to wake up to...it's really fun having kids on your birthday - they get so excited for it!

that morning happened to be "muffins with mom" at joshua and bailey's school...they thought it was the BEST that it was on my birthday :-)

rebekah  gave me a sweet note and made me a pen...

i had SUCH a fun collection of cards and gifts to open! (that i never got a chance to that day...but opened them the next evening with the kids around me... :-))

bailey and sawyer made me these cards. sawyer's is: a cake for me and a helicopter on the left side; and a castle on the right :-) baileys note is hysterical!

my mom made this AMAZING collage and put it on facebook on my birthday!

one of bailey's gifts was this banner :-) that took some serious time!

that evening i drove rebekah to youth group and had some time to myself while i waited for her...

i ran some sprints (10 x 100 meters + 1 mile warmup and 1 mile cooldown)....

 and then ate dinner while i checked email and read. it was nice...and not long enough :-)

it was a great birthday. the number of the year i am not happy about. but my life? my blessings? the people that i am surrounded by? oh, yes. so very blessed!!!
