love...

i meant to take a picture and write about this little valentine's "tip" 3 weeks ago, but never got to it.

we have this little dry erase thing in the kitchen windowsill.

sometimes i write notes to them, "happy monday!" "let it snow!"

sometimes they write notes to each other on it.

it's fun.

well, for february 1-14, there was a different way to love on it each morning. and it lived on our dining room table and we talked about what that way to love MEANT over breakfast each morning. sometimes we got the dictionary out and looked up the REAL definition to truly understand. it was a great way to talk about some of the MANY ways to love...

here are the ones i used (they are all from 1 Corinthians 13):

Love:
is patient
is kind
does not envy
does not boast
is not proud
does not dishonor others
is not self seeking
is not easily angered
keeps no record of wrongs
does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth
always protects
always trusts
always hopes
always perseveres

and...that little thing STILL says, "love always perseveres" ;-) apparently it's one my heart needs to hear for more than a day...going on 2 weeks :-)
