spent the morning (2+ hours! ugh!!!) at the orthodontist this morning. i was beYOND annoyed by the time we were seen. WHY can't medical professionals see you in a reasonable amount of time?!?
ANYways. bailey needs a retainer because she has sucked her teeth in (she sucks her thumb) and joshua needs braces...probably next summer? pat wants a second opinion.
{they were watching a movie on the ceiling while we waited...and waited...}
i was awake most of the night last night. overwhelmed with all that "needs" to be done. and i knew i'd get NOTHING done today because i was going to be at the ortho for most of it. i also know that what i think needs to be done and what truly "needs" to be done are 2 very different things.
i have some more pictures from the wedding. these (and i'll share a few more over the next few days!) are from THE photographer. they are amazing. he did a GREAT job!!! these are just bailey and joshua. appropriate since i spent most of my day with the 2 of them! they kill me and i love them so much...
regardless, i got way off track (in all honesty, i still am at the moment) and spent most of the afternoon either in tears, or speaking ugly to my children, or arguing with pat (who got home early today because he had to take a class - ha! bet he was glad!)
{about to be introduced at the reception}
i'm still overwhelmed. still on the verge of tears. and, tonight i was "scheduled" to address my christmas cards. but i just can't do that "task" when i'm not in the mood. but if i don't do it tonight, i don't know WHEN it will get done! BUT i can't get in the right mood if i don't talk things through with pat and spend a sweet minute speaking love to each of my kids. by the end of that, it's going to be time for ME to go to bed!! especially because i didn't sleep last night! on and on and on it goes, right??
{joshua was NOT happy about these pictures :-) i think (hope!) he'll treasure them one day!
off to try to get my heart back on track...

I didn't sleep last night either. That is all.
breathe in and out - repeat. my mind is racing with stuff that "needs" to be done too! i hope that you sleep well tonight! and that things look better at the start of a fresh day.
I love you.......yep I do.
hope you are better this a.m. and slept well last night.
He is with you always!
Definitely get a second opinion on braces. Dr. Cassegrande is great and hise theory is wait until they are a liitle older and the faces are more mature! This way they don't end up going through two rounds!

I know the feeling. I am in total crunch mode preparing for yhe children's choir musical on Sunday....plus all the other million things going on right now.....but you know what? Everything has stopped for the moment because my baby is fighting from getting pneumonia. Sent to hospital yesterday for.chest xray (which came back.negative praise God!!) But Dr is watching him super close. So its amazing how everything that was crazy can suddenly come to a halt when you realize how thankful you are for good health!!! Trying to stay focused on that right now bc nothing is getting done right now!!
ortho: we LOVE Dr Mullen who is here in Leesburg, behind the Wegmans (so not REAL close) but his office is really well run, in AND out very quickly. Anna had 1 round of braces in 4th grade but only to straighten 4 very crooked front teeth before "the mean girls got 'ahold of her."
She then go them back on last year 8th grade and had them 1 yr to finish things up. He would be worth the drive (you could get a grocery run in at Wegmans). My two cents on that.
Not to the other issues - a friend and i just finished going through Lysa TerkEurst's latest book "Unglued" and it was SO timely for me and think you would REALLY like it. I have the participants guide w/DVD that I could let you have/borrow as well. It's all about dealing iwth our "raw emotions" SO GOOD!
love you friend and remember you are NOT alone in the ugly-words-to-kids category!
