finishing well

pat and i had a GREAT weekend together.
we might have learned that we can't go into time like that without "a plan".
we might have spent the first 3 hours on sat morning driving around, trying to figure out what we were going to do and arguing.
but, we recovered. and learned we are "planners."
and we had a GREAT time together!

{life these days just doesn't leave time to plan for things like that! boo!}

i just love BEING with this man. period.
and i'm thankful for that!

i could go on and on about all the OTHER things i love and admire about him.

but, mostly, i am just better when i am WITH him.

hit the ground running. turned around to go to a meeting 30 minutes after the kids got home.

the next couple weeks of our summer are a combination of FUN, busy events/trips and days with NOTHING planned. unfortunately some of those days will be filled with preparing for those events/trips. but i'm excited about the days where we can really ENJOY them.

i've made mistakes this summer. i'm taking notes (in my head - no time to write them down!) about next summer. there will be LESS scheduled "things" and more days with nothing. for sure.

i might not be here as often the next couple weeks. school starts aug 27.

rebekah starts middle school (6th grade)
joshua 3rd grade
bailey 2nd grade
lincoln kindergarten (!)

sawyer and levi will be at home with me.

big changes ahead. we are preparing. and determined to finish this summer well.

off to soak up the fort they are building and make sure they each have a backpack....
