frying pan park

the 3 little boys and i went to a park yesterday. that is basically a farm.
baby goats, pigs, ducks, sheep.
they LOVED LOVED LOVED it.

i love this picture. but had my settings still set for when we were in the barn looking at the baby pigs (that the pictures didn't turn out anyways!) so this is totally overexposed. but i still love it. they were all 3 scuffing their feet in the gravel as they walked.
i very rarely do things "out of our routine" with them.
we mostly stay home. one day a week we grocery shop. 2 mornings a week we go to the gym. every now and then we meet friends at our house or their house or a playground.

as i was driving to this park, i started feeling guilty for not doing more with them.

once we were there, i remembered why i don't.
they did GREAT staying with me {i was stroller-less! whoo-hoo!!}
they had fun.

so, what was the problem?!

THE QUESTIONS.

oh.my.word.

lincoln talks a lot. and asks a lot of questions. and is very loud.
but, it made me realize how much better most days are than they were because the couple hours we were at the farm were like the first 6-8 months of life with him 24/7.
wow.
i know it's how he learns things. but, it's also how he keeps himself at the center of attention, how he verbalizes things he WISH were happening {and knows they aren't. i.e. "are we eating lunch now?"}.

staying close to home and in our routine has been good this year. and i no longer feel guilty for it. :-)

but, yesterday WAS fun!

It's nice to get out of the routine sometimes. :)

I am beginning to wonder if Isaiah and Lincoln are related?!?! Really, every time you talk about him, I promise you could switch out the names and it would be still true!

are we eating lunch yet? UM... NO!

we have it here too! the voice has lowered but our -b- has the need to talk all of the time, no matter who is talking, no matter what is going on! relating closely to you all! (except -h- is a huge, loud talker now too- but we only have 5 kids)!
