go, Rays!

last night was joshua's first baseball game of the season!
he's in single A this year - which means the kids get to pitch - which makes for nice, long games ;-)
he's had the same coaches for 3 years now. we LOVE them!
bailey was there, too.
rebekah was at softball practice.

joshua on third, about to get a run!
i was so DONE by the time we got home from 3 hours of softball/baseball that i could hardly speak.
i didn't prep the little guys enough. and all i heard was, "i'm hungry" (we ate dinner RIGHT before we left), "i'm thirsty" "i'm cold" "when can we go home?" .....

pat is one of the assistant coaches. so i'm on my own with the rest of the crew!
joshua playing catcher.

after the game, the coach ALWAYS has the boys go out to the outfield, take off their hats, "take a knee", and he talks to them. i think it's awesome. he really teaches them to respect the coaches, parents, each other. we are blessed to have him!
looking forward to a GREAT season!!!

I love baseball - Sam is playing soccer and Jonathan is playing flag football this season so no diamonds for me this spring.

Sam catches too - it takes a brave, special kid to catch. I think Joshua fits that description. :)

And I SO know what you mean about "prepping the kids" and just to reassure you... there is NOTHING like spectating to bring on the hunger pains. Or is that just boredom?

Have fun this spring with all the sports.

You guys are so sporty! I'm glad Kim is sporty, because I gave up spoty the day I dislocated my shoulder. I'm a bad mom, because while my husband is the soccer coach, I didn't go to a single game last year. I will do better this season, I promise!
