saturday in february

i just want to get down what a satuday in february in 2012 was like for us.
one day i'll forget and want to remember, right??

i got up at 6 to head out for a 10 mile run. solo. lows 30's - GREAT temp for running! cold, but not TOO cold! little bit of snow - enough to be pretty, but not enough to keep me from running!

i sure can cover some distance, terrain, and thoughts while i run 10 miles! :-)

about halfway through my run, pat is getting up with all the kids and getting them dressed and fed.

once i walk in the door, i take a speed-shower and we all head out the door for basketball! today bailey had a bye (she says it was "her best day ever!:) so it was just joshua's game in the morning.

we drove 2 cars to basketball, and went to the car place afterwards. pat's car needed a state inspection, and my car needed an oil change. we entertained the car place for sure.

home for lunch. p, b and j and bananas. you'd think they'd get sick of it. but they don't.

rest time. everyone rested after a late night the night before and in anticipation of another late night tonight. i slept HARD. pat and joshua went to rebekah's game (at 2 pm). when they got home, the girls got in the bath to start getting ready for their big night - the daddy/daughter dance (whole post on that later!) pat and joshua were building lego's while i helped the girls get all gussied up!

in the middle of it, i woke levi up. he had pooped, stuck his hand down his diaper and had it all over his bed/blankets/hair/clothes. so he got a bath. that was the opposite of warm. in the hopes that he won't do that again. GROSS! once he was smelling clean again, he got sent down with the boys and the girls continued getting beautiful!

sent pat and the girls off on their fun night and i had a fun evening with my 4 boys!

joshua stayed up with me to welcome pat and the girls home. watching them all share their experiences from the night with each other was so fun. after they headed to bed, pat and i had a little date of our own. got to bed later than we should have, but it was a GREAT day/evening/night!
