oh my. this is going to be my favorite valentine's day ever, i think. i can't wait to share!
but, until then, i made this 20 minute teriyaki chicken dinner last night. it was fine. good enough for the the amount of time it took! everyone else really liked it. i had eaten peanut m&m's the whole time i was cooking and wasn't really hungry anyways. i would recommend it. i made the whole thing in a saucepan like i normally cook my rice (the recipe calls for a rice cooker) and it was fine!
ALSO. i made this chocolate chip cookie pie for dessert. you GUYS! it had 2 cans of garbanzo beans in it! and NO flour or sugar (well, brown sugar, but not white sugar!) i made it while pat took rebekah to swimming. and joshua and bailey never came in the kitchen. so no one KNEW. and i served it all, "hey! i made a fun dessert!" which i don't really do unless there's a reason (like, a birthday or something!) NO one said it tasted weird at ALL! i did tell them after they were finished and no one could believe it! too cool!
ok. lots to do for tomorrow.... ;-)
{aren't you all kinds of curious now?? that's fun!}

that pie looks so fun! i can't wait to try! too bad i don't have garbanzo beans just "lying around" in my pantry!! hope that your week is off to a great start!
You are way too cute! :)
We are pumped for our Valentine's plans too. And Im going to have to try that choc. chip cookie recipe!
I am trying that pie!! I do have oodles of garbanzo beans!! Thank you Courtney! :-)
Unless you buy your brown sugar from Whole Foods or something, or specifically buy raw brown sugar, the brown sugar you buy from the grocery store is just white sugar with molasses added back in to make it brown and moist again. It's not any better for you than white sugar.
