this night has been anticipated for MONTHS.
one of the 3 gifts each girl got for christmas was a dress to wear to this date with their daddy.
rebekah was SO cute helping bailey get ready!
i did their hair - but let them pick what they wanted me to do. i loved that they each wanted their hair down and bailey just wanted a little braid.
and, bailey was surprisingly serious about following each of rebekah's directions/tips!
they didn't want pat to see them until they were ALL ready. and then i had to announce them coming down the stairs.

they went to red robin for dinner (their request)
helping put her shoes on.
then they went to church for the dance (and crafts and dessert)
oh, bailey...
they had such a GREAT time! the event is for 1st-5th grade girls...so this was bailey's first year and rebekah's last year (!)
so....i got to spend the night with my 4 boys! i think that was a dynamic i hadn't had before! you better believe we didn't just sit at home! :-)
i took them to the gym and we swam. that was fun! and quite labor intensive - all the changing and wet clothes and all. but they loved it.
then we went to chick fil a for dinner - YUM!!
and then to target. joshua had a gift card from his birthday that he wanted to spend. i told him, "take your time! we're in NO rush!" which, unfortunately, is a rare thing. i loved watching him walk up and down the aisles and contemplate what he should get.
got home and put the 3 little boys to bed, and built lego's with joshua until pat and the girls got home. it ended up being a VERY sweet night for joshua and i. he is such a cool kid!
