was blind...

i picked up on it pretty quickly after we came home from africa.
lincoln couldn't see well. AT ALL.

but to have your vision checked, you have to know some letters or shapes or something!
so, we waited. there was plenty else to deal with.

well, last week i took him in.
and...he has HORRIBLE eyesight! near AND far!  the appointment itself was a bit traumatic (drops in his eye to dilate them, wait 30 minutes, multiple exams, lots of bright lights.)

but...today we picked up his glasses, and his smile was PRICELESS!!!

{this was THE moment she first put them on.}
"was blind, but now i see" started playing in my head immediately.

amazing grace.

God has already used this little boy to teach me what His grace TRULY is so many times.
i am hopeful that these glasses might be something that changes things for lincoln (and for the rest of us!) maybe he will stop touching EVERYTHING in sight, or not have to ask as many questions - because he can see for himself?

i know putting my hope in glasses isn't the right answer (yes, i read my previous post!) but i feel like it has to help at least a little! PLEASE, Lord, let it help a little!

when we walked outside of the store, his head just kept turning from one side to the other. over and over. it was like he couldn't take it all in fast enough! amazing...
{and, yes, we bought the protection plan. the one where you can break them into a million pieces and still get them replaced :-)}

that was going to be my first question! :) either that, or does he have that band thing to keep them on his head! :)

wow. love this post...not just because of the cute little boy with the fancy new glasses...but because it is about so much more than glasses!

protection plan had to be a must!!!
hoping that this helps him in big ways... his questions may change a bit or he may talk excessively with all the new things he can see but it they will help! benjamin failed his initial eye test so we are supposed to be retesting now, haven't done it yet... we'll see what happens with his!

Little by little,Lincoln and the whole Cassada family...is adjusting and learning and growing...in so many more ways that can be imagined. God is at work in the little things (thank you Lord for these glasses)....as well as the BIG things (our heart). Rejoicing and can't WAIT to see how this will change Lincoln's life and YOURS dear Courtney. With tons of love.

I have been praying that once he could see better he'd stop breaking so much. Still praying. He looks adorable and that smile. oh my!

He looks so grown up and handsome with them on. I will be curious to hear what effect they have on his, and your daily life.
