just a little taste of our thursday evenings this winter.
we took the fall off from sports, and have jumped back in with a bang.
{it's actually perfect...}
rebekah, joshua and bailey are all playing basketball.
but for upwards - which is at a local church (not ours). so, all their practices and games are at that church.
and all their practices are on the same night.
joshua - 5:15-6:15 pm
bailey - 5:45-6:45 pm
rebekah - 8-9 pm
the first few weeks were overwhelming to me. but, we've gotten in a little groove and i actually look forward to it now!
i start "making" dinner around 4...while they are finishing up their homework/chores.
we watch joshua for a few minutes {sorry for all the pictures. i brought my camera to practice this one time. i probably won't again. don't worry!}
we are always the first ones there. because joshua LOVES LOVES LOVES it. and he keeps me on track at home to make sure we get there as early as we can (you can go into the gym at 5 pm - so we do!)
intense, huh??
they haven't had a game yet - their first one was supposed to be this past saturday, but we had an ice storm. so far, joshua seems MUCH more confident than last year (he's the only one that played last year.)
i can't wait for his game tomorrow!
i LOVE watching him play! he always has a smile on his face.
after we watch him for a few minutes, we walk to the other side of the church. they have this GREAT area with a playground! and tables! so, they eat their dinner and play from 5:30-6:30ish. i just walk back and take bailey to her practice at 5:45, and then pick joshua up at 6:15.
lincoln likes to do cartwheels...
this is levi and sawyer trying to do one.
then we gather all our stuff and go back to watch the last few minutes of bailey's practice.
she is SO nervous about her first game. she said yesterday, "i wish the days went friday...then sunday..." so that they could NOT have saturday...and their games :-)
i think she'll be fine once she has a game. it's just the unknown.
we get home around 7 pm.
pat is normally just walking in the door.
he eats his dinner, does the devotion, gets the older 5 in bed, and then takes rebekah to her practice from 8-9 pm.
we ALL sleep well those nights!

and love your camera bag - i have the exact same one!! :)
and love YOU! :)
We just love upward. Makes it so easy to do sports with lots of kids. that playground is awesome!!! We have loved basketball, but are loving having the break this semester. Oh, and my life would be so much easier if I had any kids that liked pb&j!!
