silly and real

we were {ohsopatiently} waiting for pat to get home from work one night last week.
i was trying desperately to NOT let things cross the line into crazy mom that needs a break mode {i.e. screaming or crying for no reason. from me.}

i grabbed my camera and said, "everyone make a funny face."

this was what i got. lincoln looks more terrified out of his mind than anything, but. whatever. it got us through. and sawyer? he is just CUTE. nothing else. just cute. :-)

and, to keep it real. we are doing good. everyone is honestly GOOD. but, there are undercurrents that tell me i need to be on my knees before Him more than ever. or just as much as ever {i've pretty much not gotten up off my knees for the last year or so}

pat. he is our solid rock. thank you, Lord, for him.

me. my stomach gives me away. you don't need details. just...things aren't working the way they are supposed to. ouch.

rebekah. she won't sleep in her bed. sleeps on the floor by the door in a sleeping bag. ??

joshua. another solid rock. thank you, Lord.

bailey. sucks her thumb more than ever. would carry her blanket around like linus (sp?) if i would let her. talks 4x as loud as necessary at all times.

lincoln. i can't even start on the crazy things he does. you probably wouldn't believe me. ok. a couple. took apart the pam cooking spray bottle at the grocery store in .5 seconds. somehow got it into like 10 parts? i didn't even KNOW there were 10 parts to it! stretched his sock from the original 4 inches long to about 12 inches long. see?

sawyer. has started stuttering. and randomly has pee and/or poop accidents.

levi. his obsession with water is cute and easy to fulfill and somewhat concerning. he doesn't just like or even love water. it's an OBSESSION and makes him crazy like a cat with catnip. but, it's not hurting him and it's easy to give to him so we just keep giving him the water.

so. we're good. and a little bit crazy apparently :-)

Thanks for sharing the "real" stuff. Just a note on Sawyer....Finley went through a short phase of stuttering and after talking to a speech therapist friend, she said it is completely normal and almost always resolves itself. Just don't make a big deal and encourage him to slow down and try saying it again if/when necessary.

I have concern over the constant thirst for water. This was a symptom of juvenile diabetes for my friends son. I think you should call your pediatrician and have him looked at. I don't want to alarm you but better to rule it out, no? Hang in there, you are doing well.

i totally get the real. i am so sorry about the tummy troubles. ug.

BTW, are you best friends with Early Intervention over there? We have 4 appts a week. Those angels of mercy are AWESOME advocates for my kiddos. We've done OT, PT, Speech, developmental/behavior therapy. I say call them up stat. Those teachers are GOLD.
