i just emailed this to my mom and sister and had to post it here, too. just in case you also need a laugh today. it's better to tell in person, but i hope it is still funny this way...
so, we went to this big bridge thing yesterday morning. it was nice out (no coats!) and i wanted to let those little boys just RUN! it's this big bridge that goes in a circle.
lincoln and sawyer kept running ahead, then running back to me and levi. at one point, i looked up and saw lincoln up ahead. he had stopped, put one hand on each knee, and was bent over at the waist, looking at something on the ground. his face was about 6 inches from the ground. the little dude is blind (took him to the eye dr this week - he REALLY can hardly see! more on that later...)
i quickly realized what he was looking at (goose poop was littering the path just in that one area) and was curious to see what he was going to say/do. he stands up, turns to me, puts both hands out wide and says,
"mom! WHO did this?!? it's disGUSTing! people poot! (poot=poop in lincoln's words)"
he totally thought PEOPLE had pooped all over the path!
i laughed SO hard. i explained to him that the ducks had done it, and he seemed mostly satisfied with my answer, but still a bit disturbed :-)
that kid. he frustrates me to no end. but also makes each day such an amazing adventure to see life through his eyes!

I so thought he was going to eat some!! These boys of ours are such men of extremes aren't they? Extremely frustrating and extremely lovable all at the same time!!
that is great. wonder how it will change his life once he can see better.
