i wish i had her style

i never have and i never will.
 but i sure do wish i could pull stuff like this off!

some nights, when i go in to kiss her goodnight, she reaches up and hugs me with one arm (the other hand has a thumb in her mouth) SO hard. it is the funnest way to end a day! a hug from a sleeping little girl.

there are LOTS of smiles and laughs from her.
but there is also depth.

true conversation from the other day:

bailey: mom, lincoln only does a couple things wrong now. he used to do things wrong all the TIME!
me: i know! he's learning so much. he had SO much to learn, bailey! we are trying to teach him and he is learning so much.
bailey: but, mom? when he does things wrong now? he KNOWS they are wrong and he still does them. before he didn't KNOW.
me: {realizing i need to fully engage here...} yes. sometimes we ALL do things we KNOW are wrong, but we still do them.
bailey: {very matter of factly} well, i'm just going to pray that God changes his heart. because that's the only way we can stop doing wrong things. that's what i do!
