decorating christmas cookies

so, sunday evening. after our WEEKEND of parties and a LONG day on saturday, we attempted to ice and sprinkle over 150 sugar cookies :-} yes, that is a clenched smile.

i was NOT feeling it. but the cookies were made. and they were going to be quite a few of our acts of kindness this coming week (to the mailman, trashmen...)

i started with just joshua and bailey. lincoln and levi joined in a few minutes later. there was some stopping for some issues that needed to be dealt with.

rebekah has swimming on sunday evenings and pat takes her. he takes one other kid with him each sunday and spends the time over a drink at a restaurant with that kid. this night he took sawyer.

so, it wasn't like a movie or anything. but we did it. they look fun and they are yummy and they are DONE! :-)

the kids go to school through wednesday this week. then they have almost 2 weeks off! i'm excited. but also trying to get myself ready for it. lots to do. and i need to soak up as much of the quiet, "naptime" minutes the next couple days that i can!

quite the weekend.

and NEXT weekend is CHRISTMAS!!!
