loving levi

babies are so cute.
it's never been hard to think levi was CUTE and "love" him and his cuteness.

but the connection {or attachment in adoption verbage} has taken time.
for both us and him.

about 10 days ago, we saw a HUGE change in levi.
huge! and i'm so thankful!!!
he's just HAPPY!
and fun!
and he LOVES us.
and we LOVE him.

it's not forced.
i can't WAIT to see him after his nap!

the only hard part is that a certain 4 year old has chosen this exact time period to bring things to a whole new level.

so, as much as i am LOVING levi, it's been hard to really enjoy it and focus on it.

but i just got to spend 30 minutes ALONE with this sweet boy. we danced. and tickled. and laughed. and stacked blocks up and knocked them down. over and over and over. we sang. and chased. could it be the first time i've been able to spend 30 straight minutes with just him? wow!
{and it was because i had to keep lincoln home from our small group and pat took all the other kids. levi normally goes to bed there - so it just made sense to keep him here, too. lincoln was DONE playing for the day. so i got to play with levi! such a sweet ending to such a hard day.}

i love the sparkle in his eyes.
i love his laugh.
i love how he has this little dimple in his cheek when he smiles.
i love how he kisses with an open mouth.
