spent the evening with jenn last night.
as i drove home, i felt so FULL...i NEED times like that!
as i was driving to meet her, i was thinking through how long we've known each other. we met at the beginning of high school. we were kids. and had just become teenagers.
we did stupid stuff. spent TONS of friday and saturday nights together.
sleepovers. dinners.
we made a pact to be friends forever {a little group of us...the girls came through. the boys? not so much. that's for the better, though!}
we dreamed about one day having houses on the same street that were connected underground by tunnels.
i am a year older and went away to college.
she came the next year and we were roommates!
we've done college. and got married. and had kids. we live about an hour apart {well, with no traffic.} and don't see each other nearly enough.
but...i've known this precious girl for longer than i haven't.
we pick up right where we left off.
we know LOTS of stuff about each other!
the good and the bad.
lifelong friendships are pretty much one of the most precious things.
there's just something about TIME that gets deep, deep into your being.
she is so entertwined into so many memories of who i am, that i kind of wouldn't be all ME without HER!
anyways. i LOVED our time. we talked and laughed til we cried. always too short.
also...she took our family pictures a week or so ago! and they are AMAZING! {i can't wait to share them with you!!} but she posted a sneak peek on her blog!
