i don't say or do anything about their room. until i can't stand it anymore.
then i go through and put it ALL in a big pile in their room. i basically swipe my arm across all surfaces, onto the floor. and swipe my arm under both beds, and add it to the pile. it's amazing what is in that pile!
this is why i'm ok with the dance. they love to have all that stuff around them all the time. but, every so often, i need to see their room CLEAN. and on we dance :-)

ditto at our house! we had that same pile on Monday. :)
man...i can't wait until my kids can do the dance...
We do that too. Either that or I just throw it all away for them and hope they don't notice.
ohmygoodness. this is the dance i play with natalie. i just told her tonight she has to clean her room tomorrow.
We are not quite old enough over here to do this dance well. I hate the pile(s)(s)(s). I need two more years because I can effectively execute the "put this away or trash" theory I think. I cannot wait.
That pile doesn't seem too big to me! I do this to Avery in a modified way, but along the lines of Kelly- I go gather trash first because if I don't, she thinks it is all treasure and stores it away:)
