we had our most recent HOPE event yesterday. at our house. 40-50ish people. dinner. lots of kids.
just a time to get together and BE.

and lots of stories. oh, the stories.

my FAVORITE moment was this...

two of the babies were playing together on the floor. they were adopted from the same country.
from the same orphanage...

from the SAME room in that orphanage! how AMAZING is that??

4 months ago they were sleeping in the same room in ethiopia. and now?? they were fighting over a train on the floor of my family room! just amazing.

there were families on both ends of the spectrum...couples that had been married less than a year and just have a heart for orphans to couples that have children and hope to adopt one day to couples that have recently adopted to couples that adopted 17 years ago and now have a child about to graduate from high school! it was awesome to hear everyone's stories...

we are all pretty tired today after that, though.

thankful for our church - for their support of adoption and orphan care - for allowing us to do events like we did yesterday.
