i think the invitation surprised everyone...but we played a baseball game {really, whiffle ball} for the girls' birthday party! the kids had been WANTING to do a "family" baseball game all summer...it was on the summer list {that i threw away}...and so we did it BIG for their party!
green team {rebekah}
vs
pink team {bailey}
it POURED all morning...which made for some fun puddles for levi to play in!
everyone REALLY were GREAT sports and just jumped right in!
we each had to wear either a green or pink strip of fabric - sawyer looks like he has a pink scarf on :-)
the bases were hula hoops...sometimes they got moved :-)
levi made himself comfortable in the middle of the field
i had a hard time hitting the ball my first turn, so i cop-ped out and let "levi" hit it when i was up to bat next :-) coordination just isn't my thing...
headed home {we played the game at the kids' elementary school} and had a very NOT typical labor day weekend meal of pizza spaghetti {YUM! bailey's favorite...} and salad and breadsticks.
opening gifts....they are KNOWN so well by their family - it's so obvious even in their gifts! {bailey's dress with tutu for a skirt...rebekah's purple boots!}
and singing happy birthday!
it was so fun to celebrate my sweet girls! they are amazing. and they have an amazing extended family. i pray one day they can grasp how blessed they are!
