our week

so i {kinda} took a break from blogging this week.
i didn't post pictures and scheduled all those "words" posts on monday.

i wanted to focus more on being "mom".

honestly, i don't think it helped.

i am never going to be perfect at it. and that's ok. i will keep striving.

but the break was kind of nice :-)

so...i was just looking at my pictures from the week and have to share a few {or a lot :-)}

last weekend my aunt kim and cousin heather came to meet the boys! it was so fun!
this was precious - levi doesn't "cuddle" often...

i love his laugh!
we skyped with hannah!!!!! it was SO fun!
the big 3 talked to her first.
then i brought in the little 3, one at a time. then I got to talk to her for like another hour!
it was the best.
lincoln and sawyer have both asked for her all week.

just my post-run self and my baby.
this is how joshua does his homework. the kids come in the house through that door that is right behind him. he can't even make it to the table to unpack his stuff and start. he's so anxious to get it OVER with!
walk/bike ride to the duck pond.

i admit to losing focus sometimes.
but looking through these pictures, the miracle of what is being lived out in my house is NOT lost on me.
these 2 boys. in my home. in our family. our sons. miraculous. no matter WHAT else i'm dealing with, it's still miraculous.
lincoln is SUCH a good sharer (is that a word??) he's so quick to share. with all of us.
these 2. oh my word.

all 6.
pat was gone a couple nights this week. those days are even longer than the normal ones.
i took the kids to get frozen yogurt one night.
a game of tag

my morning crew helped me make pumpkin muffins. yum!!!
{and some great lessons in listening and taking turns and patience...for ALL of us! :-)}
the AWESOME scene a few minutes after we got home from the library - everyone reading their books!
our street was getting paved this week.
GREAT entertainment!
and, just because i think we will laugh about the story one day, this was the same morning that i came down the stairs from taking a shower, and saw leaves from the bushes in our front yard strewn all over the living room.

i was very confused.

until i looked over and saw the hole lincoln had torn through the screen to get to the leaves.

i didn't laugh. neither did he. but it's over. and one day we will laugh about it.

fav lunch for all of us. pb&j for the boys, this for me! i've made it almost every lunch for the last 2 weeks.
one morning they were playing SO cutely with their babies! feeding them. putting them to bed. it was awesome!
TECHNICALLY he's not out of his bed, right?? :-)
{we haven't had a monitor since rebekah was a baby. we had to get a video monitor so we could know WHAT he was doing in his bed!}
gorgeous afternoon outside (it's been raining for like a month. SO happy to see the SUN!!!)

big kids:
little kids:
just got home from a "punt, pass and kick" competition that rebekah and joshua were both in at their school this afternoon. joshua was the youngest that participated.
bailey brought her castle :-)

they both did great {i think. i was managing a lot.}

headed to the high school football game tonight. rebekah is singing with a group for the star spangled banner.

then celebrating pat's dad's 60th birthday saturday AND sunday night!!!

I want to know more about your lunch! What is it?

Oh, and I get the monitor. Ask me what we did to keep Isaiah from roaming the neighborhood at night.
