on friday morning, we were headed out to the gym. and then grocery shopping right after that.
i said to lincoln and sawyer, {with NO hand motions...i was finished up the dishes as i said it}, "guys, get a snack out of the snack basket and put it in mommy's purse."
i fully expected multiple questions to follow. and for lincoln to have NO clue what i said.
but guess what???
they both walked over to the snack basket, got a snack. and put it in my purse! and lincoln was LEADING the whole thing!
HUGE on so many levels:
::that lincoln understood all that i said and obeyed without asking questions
::that lincoln was able to get food and put it somewhere for later
i stood there and watched in complete awe.
i mean, AWE. my mouth was possibly hanging to the floor.
i'm sure it sounds small. and possibly silly to even blog about.
but it is HUGE progress. and something i don't want to forget!!

My brother was the same way with the food! We often found food hiding in his bedroom!
My sister and I being the teenagers we were used to "play with him" and while he would be eating and have food in both hands, we would grab a peice of food off his plate and tease him with it--and he couldn't do anything about it because he wouldn't drop the other food he had in his hands...mean I know-but we thought it was amussing lol!
Now days, he doesn't hide food, but he sure does still eat!!
not silly to blog....even I kinda understand the HUGENESS in my limited knowledge! so GREAT!
That is huge!!! Remember that the next time you wonder if anything is getting thru to him :) he is getting it..little by little and slowly, hut its getting in there!!
