celebrating

we have had the BEST day.
the little 2 boys were SO excited to do school again today! i wasn't even sure they could hear me yesterday over levi's screaming. but, they clearly noticed and heard EVERYTHING!

and levi just played...didn't even need to go in the pack n play! yay!
levi only cried for a few minutes when i left him in the kids room at the gym - yay!
spent the rest of the morning playing in the basement (and getting ready for rebekah's birthday tomorrow. ugh.)
these 2 played SO nicely (most of the time...)
everyone ate their lunch.
the morning ended with lincoln peeing his pants...something that has just started...and, apparently gets my goat more than anything else. my blood pressure shoots THROUGH.THE.ROOF when it happens. i have some work to do in that area. i need to not react. i KNOW that. doing it is another thing entirely.

i'm certain it's a totally "normal" thing for him to regress like this. but, i will also make sure it's clear that it's not acceptable behavior...

good opportunity to apologize and receive the TIGHTEST hug from that little boy that i ever have.

feeling overwhelmed with my blessings this day...

so glad for a great day so far - it helps when everyone is excited about it, isn't it? I was JUST thinking this morning about lincoln and levi - and how they were handling being "dropped off" - at the gym, at church, etc. That seems HUGE if they are secure enough to KNOW you are coming right back and not crying! that is GREAT! for your sanity mostly! :)

I'm thinking that sawyer is going to have a HARD time next year when Lincoln goes off to school...the two of them are just going to be inseparable I'm telling you!!!

I think his regression is relatively normal, especially with the big kids going off to school. No reaction is the big thing. Put an extra set of clothes in the bathroom, just in case, and when he wets himself, calmly tell him to go change in the bathroom, and where to put the wet clothes. "we are going to practice suchandsuch until you get back."

You may want to consider mandated potty breaks at certain times in the day. Just like preschool out of home.

haha! peeing in the pants...that's MY life!! :) Give me some tips on how to communicate that it's unacceptable, in a loving way.

Flint peed in his pants every.single.day for a LONG time too. I got SO TIRED of dealing with his urine!!!!! Thankfully, now it has dwindled to an occasional accident. He still has some trouble but it is nothing like it was in the beginning. I feel your pee pain!!
