i'm changing my name...

lincoln says my name, "MAAAAM" (mom) every 1.6 seconds. at the loudest possible volume.

yes, i AM glad he KNOWS who i am. that's huge. i KNOW.

but, 1.6 seconds??

he {usually} has nothing to say. and i LOVE that he loves saying my name. but, after a few hours of it, my brain always feel like it's going to explode!

just saying...

{i am not perfect. i do not have endless amounts of patience and grace and compassion. and i HATE that. but it's the truth. it's true of me every day - with all 6 of my kids. God is working on me. and this is one of those stages where it feels brutal. it's beautiful and brutal all at the same time. and i'm thankful. and also not perfect.}

I would love to hear a little one from Rwanda's sweet voice. There are many of us still waiting and wondering, not knowing if we will ever have the privelege of hearing that sweet sound.

yesterday, i just thought to myself, "why do they have to ask questions ALL. OF. THE. TIME." seriously i love the questions and i love that I get to be the one to answer them. but last night i was done and couldn't answer another question. and i only have three. so i can't even begin to imagine how your brain must feel at the end of the day with 6 asking questions!

Your blog reminds me so much of when my two first came home. And the saying "mom"? Lol! Let's just say yeah. ;)

Always remember that although you are the only one actually THERE, many others are walking this road with you! :)

so funny- I said that under my breath today when Avery called "Mommy" for the 10,000th time for me to see what she was making... I didn't think she would hear me, but then she said "Whatever your name is- come see what I just did!" Aaargh!
