surprise!!!

we met at 5:30 this morning instead of 5:45. ginny said she needed to, so we all agreed. got an email this morning that annie wouldn't be out because she was up all night with one of her kids. typical friday morning...

we started running. ran about a mile, turned the corner by the nature center and a party was set up! balloons...breakfast...diet coke from mcdonald's...all to celebrate lincoln and levi coming home soon!!!
annie's son wasn't really sick...she just set it all up!
apparently, i'm very easy to surprise!
we sat around at these picnic tables out on the patio (they said that they couldn't do it at one of their houses because if we sat on someone's deck, we'd wake all the neighbors up! we are kind of known around our neighborhood...people hear us coming from a mile away as we run down the road and solve all our problems :-)) and ate and talked for about an hour.
they gave me a book of "coupons" - lots of "mother's helpers" hours from their kids, diet cokes from chick fil a, and even a grocery run to walmart!!! they also said they'd pray for us each day as they head out on their runs while we're in africa...that is so thoughtful and amazing!
the food was delicious! bagels, donuts, muffins, scones, fruit, juice, coffee, yogurt and granola! amazing spread! they sent some home with me and we'll be good on breakfast until we leave!
are they amazing or what??!! thanks, ladies!! it meant SO much to me!

Wonderful surprise. Just a question as you prepare (physically and mentally) to pick up your boys, do they know you're coming? I mean, does the orphanage tell them specifically when they'll meet you, maybe do a countdown for them?
