Safe and Sound and Exhausted

we flew 12 1/2 hours to ethiopia. the kids slept for awhile. the
adults slept maybe an hour each. yikes! you just go into "stupid" mode
- you can't even DO anything except stare ahead and want it to be
over. we survived though!

ethiopia airport is...interesting! small. smelly. wow. 3 hour layover there.

got on a SMALL plane to rwanda. and, surprise! landed in uganda! we
were FREAKING out. but, apparently, it was just a stop on the way??
africa....

the second we touched down i lost it. we were here. the land i've
dreamed of for YEARS. i wondered how i'd really feel. and, it was a
deep love and appreciation, just like i imagined.

arrived right on time. peter picked us up with a crew to help with all
our luggage. within an hour we were checked into the hotel, and left
hannah with the kids and peter took pat and i to start the process! it
was a whirlwind! we went to the ministry. got some paperwork we needed
(we think we got what we needed) then (surprise!) stopped by the
orphanage (!!) i was freaking out! but, peter said we just needed the
nuns to sign something. were able to shake their sweet hands and smile
at SO many sweet kids on the streets. i love rwanda. i just do.

stopped and exchanged our money. went to a store and bought bottled water.

got back to the hotel, unpacked everything. ordered pizza for dinner.
and are headed to bed SOON!

tomorrow we WILL meet our boys!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can't even believe it!

today was amazing. everything went so smoothly, was so calm,
everyone's stomach's were well. SO many answers to prayer!!!!

thank you!!!!

internet connection is awful. REALLY hoping to try to post some pics
tomorrow. for now, i NEED some sleep!

Sounds weird, but some of us had luck sitting on the stairs or on our balcony to get the internet to work! So glad you are there!

Can't even tell you how excited I was to read an update! Thanks for taking the time to let us all know how it's going!!!

Praying for you guys!!! So excited!!!

I know you can't wait until tomorrow, but just think of how God must feel about it too. This was HIS plan from the start. HE knew these boys would belong to you and Pat from the moment they were conceived. HIS fingerprints are all over it and I know that HE desperately wants those little boys to have an earthly Father who will give them a little glimpse of HIS love for them.

Sweet!
I was trying to read this post to Alan (he had to pause the Stanley Cup!) and I was good up until you landed in Rwanda and then I just started balling and kept reading through sobs of JOY.
Praise Jesus that everyone's stomachs are well--I am so thankful!
