World Water Day...will you be a part?!?
this is big.
yet it requires so little from you.
from us.
it's no secret that my heart HURTS for those that don't have clean water.
and it should be no secret that it's a HUGE issue in our world.
the world that you and i live in.
probably not in the neighborhood you live in.
but that doesn't mean you should ignore it.
thanks to so many organizations, it's a problem that is being addressed and dealt with.
we are making dents in the problem!
that's SO awesome, right???
not only do people need wells built so that they can get to clean drinking water.
but a HUGE issue that comes along with that is keeping the wells functional.
today is world water day.
and a group of {amazing} people have put together a HUGE campaign that, if you grab hold of the vision, will make a BIG impact.
need some statistics??
1. 1/3 of all drinking wells built in the
last 20 years are broken.
2. Over 4,000 children die every day
from lack of clean drinking water.
3. The well mechanics business in
North India trains and equips men
and women to repair their region’s
water wells.
4. If we raise $10,000, we will help
mechanics fix hundreds of wells for
years to come, turning water back on
for 300 people each month.
here's the vision for today.
i am a part of 100 bloggers asking just 10 of you to donate $20 here. {all giving is tax deductible}
if all 100 bloggers succeed in our goal, we will raise $10,000!
AND the Prem Rawat Foundation is matching it - so it will be $20,000!!!!!!!!
ok.
go.
let's make some water FLOW this World Water Day 2011!
{come back here throughout the day and watch the number RISE!!!!}
