i love when all my kids play together...happily :-)
one of the books that i'm reading right now is called Sacred Waiting by David Timms.
i had it for a couple months before i would even open it.
i KNOW i am having to learn a lot by "waiting"...but i hate it. and i knew the book would teach me more and, well, i didn't want to learn it :-)
it IS good...
"Waiting on the Father does not guarantee ease and comfort. Just the opposite: it softens our hearts to suffer as never before."
"...a savage grace - the grace received out of pain and suffering. And while we might prefer a more comfortable path, it's this path of pain that potentially saves us from the shortsighted and self-centered existence for which we might otherwise settle."
{only bailey can pull off a dress AND pants with stripes and socks with hearts :-)}
"But the sons and daughters of God - those who understand their Father's heart - continue to sink into humanity; not to be overcome by it but to minister to it."
LOVE that...sink into humanity...
{we were supposed to have rainbow pancakes LAST monday night. bailey has been asking for them for weeks. but then, they were sick. and i wasn't ABOUT to take a chance of having to clean rainbow pancakes out of sheets and carpet...so i waited til everyone was healthy for DAYS! :-) they were yummy! and kind of more perfect this week...with st patricks day in a couple days!}
