fully living

i've been quiet here.
because i haven't touched my computer in DAYS!
i've been living...fully living...

friday i spent the day with 2 extra kids.
a dear friend was {IS!} SUPER sick and needed help.
it was a GORGEOUS day and so fun!
but maybe gave me a little more patience in waiting a little bit longer before i add 2 more to this craziness :-)

then we left saturday morning after a 12 1/2 mile run and a little yard work and joshua's basketball game for richmond!

owen turned 7 years old!!!!
and we were invited to help celebrate!

lots of boys equals lots of sports balls :-)
after YUMMY cupcakes, we went to a jmu/vcu baseball game!
ali gave the boys these noisemakers.
we started out sitting on the vcu side because that's where the sun was.
but the kids were cheering...LOUDLY...for "JMU!"
once we totally lost the sun, we moved to the jmu side.
the kids continued to cheer...and figured out how to make their noisemakers squawk LOUDLY!
the vcu coach sent some people from the field over to us and asked them to stop!
crazy!!!
the kids kinda mellowed out after they couldn't cheer and we realized the whole stadium was like a golf tournament or something...SO quiet!
oh, well..i think we provided some entertainment :-)
one of the baseball players came up and gave all the kids a baseball.
at least someone appreciated us!

it's not a baseball game without a hot dog, right?!?
 sunday morning wii...

one last game before we hopped in the car to head home!
we are RICH in friendship and this family is a BIG reason for that!
i'm sad that i didn't get a picture of ali...such an encouragement to my heart.
but i have her words in my heart....they always lift me up!

we are very blessed...

it was good for me to LIVE FULLY for a few days...away from my normal lists and even my house!

Love that you had a weekend with those that you love. So funny that the kids were the only ones cheering at the baseball game...at least they were having some fun! Too funny that the other coach asked them to stop...how will his players ever make it in the big leagues? ;-)

Ahhh, loved your post Courtney. L.O.V.E.D : baseball cupcakes (cute!), Sawyer sitting in a regular chair (so grown up!), Joshua and Owen together, JMU player tending to the little guys (impressive and life changing), you and Rebekah (sweet). Simply....thankful for your service to Peyton, fun, friendship....for YOU. Wonderful few days! Love you.

it feels sort of nice to be away from the computer for a bit, right? :) SO glad you got to go spend the weekend with ali and co.!!! the boys look so cute together. what's with the quiet, empty baseball stadium? and them telling the kids to be quiet? that's ridiculous!

Can't believe you got shushed at a baseball game! Who does that?! Glad you had at least 1 player that appreciated all your cheering! :)
