letters to my kids: part 1

joshua,
we had your birthday party last night. this year, we are letting each of you pick 2 friends to bring somewhere for your party. you picked luke (from your class last year) and dylan (from your class this year). you had NO trouble picking them. you said both of their names instantly when we asked you about it.

{there was a closer up picture of just the 3 of you...but i liked the one with your (handsome!) dad in it ;-)}

we picked them up. we had to drive 2 cars to fit us all. you made sure weeks ahead of time that the 3 of you would get to ride with dad in HIS car. and the rest of the cassada kids would ride with mom in the van. :-)

we went and ate pizza at sal's. you each only ate 1 piece of pizza. you were too busy being silly. i loved sitting across from you and watching you smile and laugh with such joy.

we sang happy birthday to you. and ate cupcakes.

then we went to the high school basketball game. we were quite the scene...quite the crew. but you all seemed to have lots of fun together...dancing and cheering!

happy 7th birthday, joshua! i loved making you smile!
{luke wasn't sure what to make of sawyer...he's an only child :-)}
