headed out

i'm just a mere couple hours away from heading out.

the last couple days have been awesome.
happy heart for me...and for my kids.
beautiful weather.
encouragement from friends.
feeling God's presence and power in so many things.

awesome 10 mile solo run in 50 mph winds as the moon went down and the sun came up this morning.
big breakfast together as a family.
watched joshua's basketball game.

now home to pack and eat lunch, then head out!
the kids are making lists of all the fun things they are going to do with dad.
and, every so often, saying, "i don't want you to go!"
not sure if they are telling the truth or not...but it's kind of nice to hear :-)

i definitely have a plan for my time away.
and i'm just giddy about it.

things i'm excited about:
singing at the top of my lungs in the car
diet coke from chick fil a
no alarm
laying on the hotel bed with my open Bible and just listening
going for a walk somewhere i've never been before
writing and writing and writing
going for a run somewhere i've never been before
holding a newborn

thanks for covering me in prayer during this time.
i know i'm going to need it.
there's a battle going on.
He's won the war...but he is doing all he can do win these battles i'm waging.

i'm ready to fight.
bring it on.
